Moselle is a region in France that got its name due to the River Moselle that runs through the region. The Moselle River flows through France, Germany and Luxembourg. There are two French departments named after the River Moselle and they are Meurthe-et-Moselle and Moselle. Moselle is situated in the East of France and was one of the original 83 departments created during the French Revolution. Situated in the Lorraine region, Moselle has some pretty landscapes and a beautiful river valley to offer to tourists.
