Lower Normandy also known as Basse-Normandie was created in 1956 after the division of the region into two parts: Haute-Normandie and Basse-Normandie. The Basse-Normandie region is divided into three departments, which are Orne, Calvados, and Manche. Lower Normany has some vast sandy beaches and lush countryside. Some of the famous beaches include the Arromanches, Juno Beach, Utah Beach etc. The beaches in lower Normandy are different from any regular beach because they are a part of history – a part of WWII. Apart from this, there are some great castles and natural wonders like the cliffs of the Caux region and the nature reserves of Bessin marshes.
Real estate investments in Lower Normandy have started to look good in the recent past. There are different types of properties for sale here like an end cottage in the beautiful countryside can be purchased for €45,000.
