Courchevel is a popular ski resort nestled in the Savoie region of the French Alps and is considered to be one of the largest in Europe. The ski area consists of the fairly easy greens runs to the dangerous and difficult black runs. Most of the accommodations are available in the Courchevel valley that comprises of the town of La Tania built during the 1992 Albertville Olympics. There are two major points in the resort, the 1550 and the 1850. The 1550 is a smaller area while 1850 is the posh side of the resort that consists of hotels, bars and other forms of entertainment. You can visit 1850 from 1550 by bus that runs 24 hours or by using the gondola.
